Hopefully the chicks I am getting will just grow up and fit in with no issues.... no drama!

They'll go through their teenage/young adult months. There's ALWAYS drama then.

From the batch Abeille and he are from (fyi his name is Apollo and his sister is Lumina) I had 25 hatch, 2 died, so 23 are left. That was from 29 eggs

That's a pretty good hatch rate. What breeds/mixes are they?

ah, 1c is WARM! 5c is rather nice as well but ya live in CANADA! You can't expect a snow free summer any day! Ya gotta like the cold! (I am honestly getting sick of cold, though... I can't wait for the snow to melt to plant my little seedlings...)

Hmmm.. My cats catch mice all the time, mostly eat them but sometimes I sneak a few and give them to the chickens. If I don't cut their stomachs open so the *blergh* guts come out they turn their beaks up at them

The light colored chickens with the light colored horse and the dark ones with the dark horse. Birds of a feather seems to extend beyond feathers.
