I fed the chicks some corn for the first time. And grit. It looks like the biggest silkie has streamers on his head I believe its a boy and 3 girls.

I don’t think it is a red bud.
Could be crabapple or flowering cherry - but bark isn’t quite right.
I will try to download the picture and use it on Plant Net.
Phone not currently collaborating with that idea.

You are correct - the additional photo she uploaded later looks more like a crabapple. I don't think it is a cherry, the bark doesn't look right for that - but she is also more southern to me, and so might have additional varieties down there.

Need a closer up and in focus picture of flowers and trunk. And leaves when it gets them.
From the color it looks like an ornamental prunus of some kind - but it is a bit of a guess as I can’t see the detail.
There is a good app that will identify plants for you (I assume it does trees but am not sure). And an even better one for insects.
The one for bugs is called Picture Insect.
I think the plant one is Plant Net but my phone seems to have eaten it.

The only thing you don't know seems to be chicken breeds. You are amazing.
