YES! They can fit through a horizontal slit 1/2" wide ( like that under a door...1/2 " by whatever,

All the reading I did with my rats...most can't fit through 1/2 X 1/2 (except for maybe some of the young ones...but supposedly not once they get to true adolescent stage/size)

I put the crate in my office, just in case!

I have the Misty of Chincoteague book. I picked it up a couple of years ago from good will for Rosie and read it myself. In grade school I read most of the Black Stallion series of books. I also read and loved Black Beauty. The horse is my profile picture is our boy Dirt. He is one of 3 horses we own.

I had a guinea pig named Misty because she had a little orange spot around her eye, just like the Misty on this cover:


I loved the Black Stallion series, too, with a special appreciation for the Island Stallion. There was some other series too... One about a bunch of girls that rode together for a school? Man, every time I found one in a Half Price Books I was on it!

Today I have some dirty fluffy butts. Some dusty white leghorns. 4 out of 5 of them.
