Here's Josey eating her morning mealworm today. She trusts me enough to feed her but she doesn't like me touching her.

Hi everyone. Can I just share that the chickens had a GREAT weekend? They are so active now that it really feels like spring. They had about half of yesterday and almost all of today to range. They ran around (vs sitting) ALL DAY. My heart is warm. Here are a few highlights.

The biggest chicken, Buttercup, trying to squeeze into a tiny nest box with the second biggest chicken, Bridge.

It is so wonderful to see them enjoying the day. Spring is a wonderful time for chickens. Even Hattie is running around the yard today here.

Ive seen people feed a few mealworms or grain of corn. I go throw a big bowl out. They wont over eat lol. Sorry Im in a mood, That sob^$&#%^%@ hasnt responded. Im gonna hunt them down.

Even the chickies didn't want to go outside today

I think Jeff and I get better every project. Now we have almost enough materials for Goldie's tractor and figured out some things on how to do it easier, being old n fat, that is key

Gryffyn egg update. She has 2 left, the silkie egg and 1 of her own. The other 2 when candled earlier did not develop at all so were tossed. I also checked Goose's 4 eggs, all 4 are doing fine. 1 week to go.

Now if you had another name in mind with the little cutie use it. I was just thinking of a name that went with Marty. I cannot tell you how happy I am your little power couple finally have a chick of their own. If she is anything like her momma she will be a spitfire.

Little Martina looks like she will have both a topknot and a beard. I think I see tiny puffy cheeks already. I really look forward to seeing her grow up. I am very curious to see how close she ends up looking like Goose. We know what a Marans x Silkie looks like, now it is time to see what a Polish x Silkie turns out looking like.

I wish my other phone would behave! I grabbed a photo of her up on the brooder! She hopped/flapped up there hahaha!
