Well, what part of Texas would be a better question, due to the size of Texas.Hmmm - sounds like a Roo and a few more hens needed in that case. How far is Texas from you???

Poodles - hahaha - meanwhile I have a Puli dog it seems in my nest box!Well, it has been raining hard since late last night. Our rain gauge was overflowing, so we just emptied it - it is a 5" rain guage! I guess our drought is over!
It was raining so hard, ...
How hard?
It was raining Cats & Dogs out there...
so much so that the road is now full of poodles

Elroy is not at all happy about the rain. I think he is worse than Kris' goats....... 'acid rain' need to shake it off and run back inside! What, you mean I have to stay out long enough to piddle??? Fiddle you - I want back in.
Say Goodbye to Easy Worms
Today was the final day for them to have access to the garden. They took good advantage to the final visit.

Yes that wee one is darker not as brightly coloured - she sure is cuteI put some chick starter in front of Goose and she let me get a little closer look at the chicks. Touching them sets her off. I really think the partridge chick is the product of Branch x Chiquita. It is smaller, black skin with the double toes and can already see it is going to be bearded and has a bit of a head poof already. Coloring is similar to Ezzie's at hatch but it down is duller and more of a soft brown, Ezzie's hatch color was a tad more vibrant. I hope that is a good sign going forward.

For reference Ezzie just hatched, the new one is definitely duller in color.

I also informed the Marshmallows that they were no longer the babies in the flock. I do not think they cared.

I was thinking more along the lines of a Roo and 3 more hens. That would be the magic number of 7.So my options are a bonnet, a roo, or 4 more hens?
Central. Cholo 3, our young Lavender Orpington is available. Also a variety of EE, naked neck, Sebrights, bantam game, silkie crosses, cochin crosses. Need a rooster? I have several available.Well, what part of Texas would be a better question, due to the size of Texas.
Just a few scratches but no dents that I could see. This is way off topic, but I’m having a bad day. The only day I park my new car in the yard to wash it. Then: The wind comes up, and the palm tree above the car sheds its fronds (in the picture)View attachment 3479014View attachment 3479024
Thankfully no dents but wow. Glad no one was standing around the car when those fell.Just a few scratches but no dents that I could see.![]()
