I was in bed most of the day sleeping due to my cold. My sister said that they were banging at my door and getting mad because I was not answering.Sometimes they knock on the doors to get my attention.

Yup don’t forget kids….You have to pay the taxes (including on forums), pay the bills, find a place to live, get a job, and all the other boring stuff.
Sorry for your sickness. My chooks don’t care if I’m sick or not. They try to get their way. Persistently!I was in bed most of the day sleeping due to my cold. My sister said that they were banging at my door and getting mad because I was not answering.
Oh yeah. Are those Silkies?
Mine don't care either. They just want food!Sorry for your sickness. My chooks don’t care if I’m sick or not. They try to get their way. Persistently!
RC did you see the video of my tweens and their size? When I was handling them? Yours look about the same size. Mine are doing great running free and don’t use their brooder plate unless I put them in their bin, in fact I left the plate on their bin today it was so lovely. They were laying in the sun like pros, sunbathing!Look at the little sillies - pretending to be adults on their roost.

Penne. I like that name. Does she eat pasta or not yet?Yes my Frizzle silkie Curly and the chicks from my friend. I plan on doing a gender test to see Which is Roo and will keeep that Roo. The others will go back to her whatever their gender.
The fourth chick is mine from my Old Girl Penelope I call her Penne.
Yes that was my day also! First the fight with the Roo, the fight Dorothy - well h377 - I made the decision that they can stay in the hen house until they are 3 weeks old!Anxiety got the best of me:
The negatives today, Peanut attacked one of the babies and when I say that I mean she grabbed it by the foot and lifted it in the air. The chick is fine somehow but it shook me.
Brownie really doesn't want to be stuck in the little tent and she tried taking them out into the RUN today and it was a disaster, they leaped into the abyss (concrete step and then the run) with abandon to follow mom
I ran like I was 20 again scooped them up and stuck them back into the coop, quickly employed a child to guard the gates (pop door), got it shut and then I remembered to breathe again. They never could have gotten back into the run and it is in no way chick proofed.
I set up the big tent this evening in the garage and moved them all in there. I just can’t take the stress of all the variables. I need them to to be bigger before all that.
The good: They made it through the day just fine. Brownie is amazing, she took the move in stride and seemed relieved as well. She assessed the set up and then camped right by the food dish so she could drop food to them without having to get up.clever girl!!
