This morning it was smelling of smoke in the air, although it had been a torrential downpour all night. Couldn't have been on the land. Probably smoke blowing in from somewhere else. I am so grateful for this rain...
Yes high haze here, last night I could smell the smoke, today it’s been very windy and I can’t smell it.

Hahaha so windy those cotton ball silkies are getting blown around ha! They are learning not to stand broadside to the wind 😆

Poor silkies. Mine never go outside, and they are getting too old, it is too cold for their old bones lol

I kick everyone outside, as long as the weather is nice, it should be nice and hot there now for your silkies.

I see that old Penelope (7 this year) has been sun worshiping all day 😊

About peppers. I’m perplexed 🤔. Will the chooks eat peppers 🌶️ (they ate my plants last year) are they okay for them, or will peppers hurt their little tummies? :idunno I personally love peppers, the hotter the better!
Mine won't touch peppers.
