Tomorrow Eli will have been broody for ten days.
I am going to start a conversation with her about how golf balls are well known to hatch much faster than regular chicken eggs, and so if she doesn’t have a clutch of little putters by the middle of next week it is time to call it a day.
She just went tut-tut-tut and ran straight back to her nest.
She is one crazy hen!

Look at this nonsense, you 3 do not belong up there.

Yes I'm talking to you.

Do not listen to Twig no matter what he says. Holly will toss you down in about 3 more weeks.

In the end, 2 of them came down and got on their normal roost. The renegade stayed put.
They do not care. 😆

Their combs still have so growing to do. You are still a couple of weeks away from eggs I would think. But you never know for certain.

Your garden looks good @BY Bob ! I am sure your great workers made sure there were no evil grubs left to attack your plants. I think everyone should have (or rent) worker bees like them before planting in the spring!

I hope Hattie hasn't noticed the blueberries - if she has, she will be watching and waiting for them to ripen....probably plotting how to get into them already.......

So, my White Rock broody girl has 2 hatched out an dry, and another that has piped and partially zipped. One egg was definitely bad....I'll check again first thing in the morning and see if any others have hatched and/or piped.

And, a head start on Pony Sunday, as I will be gone most of the day:
