I have no sympathy for sparrows. They are bluebird killers.

I didn’t know that, we do have bluebirds here but not so around my place I think they like open fields more than the bush we’re I am.

The babies are staying put, but changing positions- I think tomorrow I will enclose under the ledge for them, then they can also a have their brooder plate.

Now my story.

Back when I worked in the blood bank we would get deliveries of fresh frozen plasma packed in dry ice. Whenever we did, we would put the dry ice in the sink, run a little water and create a layer of smoke about 2 feet deep in the blood bank. Every time a nurse would come down for blood they would open the door and smoke would pour out scaring them. Many squeals were heard. 🤣 🤣 It was always fun to startle a nurse.
Seems like you had a lot of fun.
I hope you have more funny stories!

This was meant to be my diary of my flock. It's so much more than that now. I think up until 12/18 months ago it still works as a diary. After that....
@BY Bob I see this thread as a family of friends and am very grateful to have found it and appreciate you allowing our participation.
I also really appreciate this thread and you letting us hijack it on occasion. But do we need to make a “FBA Fan Club” thread where we post our own stories, and get this one back to being about your flock?

Happy Mother's Day everyone. Whether you have human, feathered, fur, or scales kids enjoy your day.

The Ole Bat say's enjoy your day and do nothing, you have earned it!

That is SOOOOOO cute. You need to enter it in POW and also the calendar contest?

A Mother's Day Tribute
April 8th was the 10th anniversary of chickens at Fluffy Butt Acres. I did not feel like celebrating at the time but the arrival of chickens here should be celebrated. So since Mrs BY Bob is the reason they are all here I have decided to celebrate all of her babies.

So we start with the very first chickens to live with us. Who could say no to that face.

That was absolutely beautiful. Thank you for posting it.

I think sharing stories of everyone's flock on this thread is a staple of it now. If my brain is functioning like it should and remembering things properly, Bob has said he does not mind. Personally, I enjoy seeing the random mix of Bob and his Fluffy Butts, RoyalChick's pigs, um, uh, Princesses, NotAbitail's chickens, and all the other people on here.
Maybe a separate thread for off topic things. But then again, that will make someone's life a pain. Preferably a moderator that keeps getting messages like, "There's a thread about butts! Delete it!", and, "They're talking pecking order politics!"

If you have a Large animal crate you can put that out in the coop. But she might try to fight against the door of the crate.

She will be fine in your bathroom for a couple days but not longer than that or she will nees to be reintroduced to your flock.
Yea Thats what I was afraid of.
