Oh no! What’s her symptoms? Poor wee gal. I sure hope your Vet can assist you.I am checking in with an update on Eli and it makes me very sad.
She is seriously ill - probably terminal though I haven't given up hope.
You may remember she was poorly before she went broody and has been fine through her broody period and adopting the little Pentagonists.
On Friday afternoon however she took a sudden turn for the worse.
I could not get a vet appointment earlier than Monday afternoon and I am not certain she will last that long.
She is comfortable and has chosen a secluded spot in the Chicken Palace. Babs and the little ones have all stopped by to visit and sit with her.
Poor little flying chicken, she is sadly grounded right now.

Multiple feed and water stations might help there with bullying around that, also may need to station them out of sight lines one from the other (via a barrier if necessary).WHY THE FAVORITES???!!!
Poor Lhicken. She is at the bottom of the pecking order, and got bullied so much she wasn't able to even EAT or DRINK. She laid an egg on the floor and is very lethargic. She has had some mash, dandelions, and water, and seems a bit better. But WHY. The. Favorites. Alllways. Get. Targeted.
Those darn hens

This update does not surprise me although saddens me. I lost the very tiny silkie mix. I have been worried about this chick since the moment it hatched. I have never had one hatch that tiny, even a pure silkie. It ate and drank and I even treated it since day 1 with save a chick. At 5 days old it never grew. Yes it was sporting wing feathers instead of down but it was clearly failing to thrive. This past week has just sucked. I am very close to being mentally done with chicks this season.
Yes. yellow skin, black wash. For those of you with Barred Rocks, should their legs be that color?
