Does your family, especially your dad, hate chickens or something?! Poor Pastel!

My dad, yes my brother, yes just because every rooster (and my hens) attack him, but my mom likes them. She is more of a guinea person though.
I'm the only one who is a big time animal person. We all love animals, but I spend hours doing nothing but research to learn more about them. Yet I find that I always can learn something new.
Whether it be on reptiles, poultry, equine, canine, etc. (Haha I'm using big kid words!)

Yes, she has some genetic problems but she's a sweetheart! My sister, ADC, (Addicted to Chickens) has an RIR that looks very similar to your girl!

Yes, she has some genetic problems but she's a sweetheart! My sister, ADC, (Addicted to Chickens) has an RIR that looks very similar to your girl!

Haha, I was gonna say MY RIR was weird looking, not yours! Mins is a goofball. She also has bad Bumblefoot. I'm too scared to look at it. Somehow she kept her bandage on for 2 weeks while I was in Alaska. I've not taken it off... I don't wanna see something that I can't handle.
That's why I'm hoping for some BBQ babies, in case something happens to my sweetie and she wants me to carry her legacy on.

Good pictures. Yes, that is the silver version of Bernadette.
What puzzles me is that she currently has so much white on her. The picture on the bottom left looks like a younger version with more white - so maybe she is heading to look like that.

She is a lovely hen

Thank you so much! I actually need some advice about her: Her bottom is much bigger and rounder than the others and it is actually a thin layer of fluff under that bottom. She sometimes will lay down and go by herself, and occasionally act lethargic, but she usually acts normal and has fun with her friends. As I mentioned before, she has some genetic issues (crossbeak, uneven pupils, etc.) Is this another one or does she have a disease like Egg Yolk Peritonitis?
