Seems the silkie chicks are making the best of being without mamas and roosting on the lower ledge, and there is Penne up in the window 😊

I find it very interesting to see where everyone roosts 😊

We needed to put hardware cloth up around out coop after a guinea massacre.
It was a few days after we let our first set of keets out in their run we built. Mom and I went out that morning to check on everyone, and dear gosh there were three decapitated bodies, two guineas missing, and one being eaten by a snake. Yeah... the coons got the three decapitated ones... I also found a forth body about a year ago from an older one. He was from the same clutch, but much older. We have also had a bobcat kill one, and hawks have attacked our guineas multiple times.
Way to many predators.
That is so awful. :hugs :hugs

Well long time participants will not be surprised to hear that I know exactly what breed we are talking about.
So as not to ruin the game for others I will put the answer behind a spoiler.
The answer is that they are pretty chickens. You are all welcome.

You are ridiculous at times. I love that. :gig:lau:gig:lau:gig:lau
