What do cats seeing cucumbers have to do with anything? My cats see cucumbers all the time, and they don't care. I think , 'Like a @Pastel The Rooster that saw a spider' would be more fitting.
Well, I recolied and smashed into something just like a cat...
Don't think Pastel bashed her run into oblivion.

I have no fear of spiders, cats or cucumbers! (Just saying)

Someone else may have replied, but if you think she has wry neck, supplementing her diet with selenium and vit. E may help.

I'm not diagnosing, but it is a relatively inexpensive 'fix' IF that is what is wrong. RC & Bob would know better, but it is relatively harmless as long as you don't overdose her. Now, what is a therapeutic Sources of selenium dose for a chicken is well out of my pay grade! sources of selenium

note - sunflower seeds are a good source of selenium~

I hope that your BR girl pulls through it it! I thought a gen had an injury once..and did research, and supplemented with selenium - I saw some improvement within 24 hours - significant improvements and within a week was almost normal. It could have been an injury - or selenium deficiency - but either way, she is perfect now 🥰
Best of luck to you and your girl!
:fl :fl :fl
You might be able to get E-Sel ( e & selenium) from the veterinarian; around here newborn foals and calves are routinely given this at birth to prevent ‘white muscle’ disease. It’s injectable so your Vet could give her a shot to quickly boost her levels.

Sure hope she improves 💕

Hi folks. I don’t quite have it dialed in yet, as the latest dripper drips too fast and I don’t have a timer yet. However, I took a couple photos of what I have so far.

Here is the water filter and pressure regulator coming off a hose manifold.

Here is a second pressure regulator coming off the garden hose, where it meets the main line. I used a T-swivel, but one side is still crimped and doesn’t have anything coming off of it (yet). I used lots of teflon tape here.

Here is where one dripline and one mini soaker hose are coming off the main line.

Here is a 1/2 GPH (gallons per hour) dripper clamped to a water bowl. I think it’s dripping way too fast. I don’t know if this one is faulty so I may swap it out.

At first, I accidentally bought in-line drippers and here is one in a different water bowl.

Here is where the run floor was damp from where the soaker had been laying on the ground.

I brushed away some litter to show how nicely the soaker really worked. This would be a nice cool spot for the chickens to dig in.

Once I have everything dialed in, I’ll probably clamp the main line in place to the base boards. I will probably get a timer, too.

I may add one of these filters to the hose that runs the mister, as we have really hard water and I tire of swapping out the little brass nozzles when they clog.
Wow impressive! Love it, it’s all really good.

Swearing not permitted!

You don’t need a camera for this, in the daylight tomorrow look for any holes along the roof where it can get in.

Put yourself in the possums place and see how it would get in.
If I didn't swear at times I'd be deadly. I cussed that tick.

Thanks @bgmathteach I found and ordered this paste and will receive it in a few days. In the meantime I'll grind sunflower seeds and give them along with Vitamin E. View attachment 3593520
I'm sorry it was really late when I got here last night.
I believe that "Olive oil" has vitamin E in it, check it out though

My cat likes cucumber mashed up. The seeds are good for them. But he won't touch the skin.
