I had a lifelong friend die from a brain tumor. He had been my friend since junior high school. And we went everywhere together. Even received our private pilots license at the same place and time. As he was progressing in his sickness, his friend was always there to help him with whatever he needed. He took him to church, took him to museums and amusement parks. Gave him a good time while he progressed into oblivion. Now he’s at peace and I’m kinda jealous of that. I WAS A TRUE FRIEND, he told me.
I’m proud to have been his friend!
Rest well now with the angels Brian. When I’m done with this project, I’ll be coming to see you! :highfive:
I am so very sorry for your loss.

Thankfully my stomach was okay, it was a high fever, chills, and muscle aches that got me but only for about 24 hrs afterwards. Not fun but there is much worse when it comes to cancer treatments.

Since it is a trial there are no guarantees it will help but I hope it does. It takes quite a bit of proof to get to the human trial phase @ least that is my understanding of the process.

During the wide excision surgery they will remove several lymph nodes closest to the lesion, they call these sentinel lymph nodes and they find them by injecting dye. They will send them to be biopsied and it could take up to two weeks to get the results from that.

After that if they are clear I will just go back for frequent skin checks. If they are not clear then lots more scans will be ordered PET scans, MRIs, basically all hell will break loose. I try not to think about that to much.

Thank you for the support, its felt and it means more then you know. 🤗

Thank you so much ☺️ its not over quite yet Monday will be the last injection of vaccine. The good thoughts are welcome and appreciated. 💕
I hope you won't feel anything from the Monday vaccine!

3 weeks of holding them hostage while she enjoyed the life of a pampered house cat making us think each day was the day. Trixie cannot hold them in any longer and they are coming! 2 kittens so far in 45 minutes. As big as Trixie got, and lopsided I think she will have a odd number. I am thinking 5, I hope and pray not 7.

Once she is done and they are dry I will get pictures.
How exciting! :wee :wee :wee

Fluffy butt Friday

A blast from the past here, I am heading to town to bring eggs to someone and get some paint at home depot.

And I was astonished this morning when one of the Azurs (Twister) came up to me, pecked at a button on my shirt, then pecked the hole in my pants. After which she looked up at me - so I picked her up and cuddled her, she snuggled under my arm and proceeded to fall asleep! What’s that all about?!

I certainly haven’t been giving them treats, just feeding them and chatting to them. Maybe she feels safer with me - like a mama hen whom she can snuggle under away from the crazy Roos and other hens.
How wonderful! You are so blessed! 🥰

I just love her fluffy pantaloons! She looks like she is molting - but still has a perky tail.

And her beautiful red, red wattles and comb against the darker grey feather outline of them - she is just such a pretty hen! 🥰 🥰 🥰 🥰 🥰 🥰
She just looks like a chicken should. :love

You are correct on the lotta love. Re: eye rain. I've NEVER been able to NOT cry. I even cry for people who should be crying. It's my "emotional overload switch". It took me a long time to be "ok" crying in front of people, whether tears of joy, sorrow, frustration, empathy.

Middle son finally broke down yesterday on our way home. He hadn't cried at all. We pulled over and cried together. Will be doing more tomorrow when we take oldest over to see grandpa.

There is a passage in the Bible that talks about God storing up all our tears. I've also run across a study about the chemical make up of tears. (Don't ask me where I saw that, I couldn't even tell you who did it). What I remember about the study is that there's a detectable chemical difference in tears shed in joy vs sorrow. Tied into that passage, I can visualize a shelf (or room) labeled for each person with a whole series of different jars, vials, and other means of storing liquids (from various cultures and centuries) also labeled for the type of tears they are. My shelf has a huge variety of containers, and most are on large scale. (As small as the vial of liquid luck in the Harry Potter movies to the huge barrels of ale to the cut crystal decanters to the ceramic clay jugs....)
That is a wonderful image. :hugs :hugs :hugs
