My sweet cross beak girl. She won't let me pick her up (I have to get her after dark to bring her in to give her her evening feeding) But when I am out & about & they are free ranging, if I start talking to her, she comes running over and hovers about until I stop chatting. She just pulls my heart strings! 🥰 🥰 🥰 🥰
Bless you for taking care of that poor baby. :hugs

23 pages behind and I won't catch up tonight. Spent the day doing non-chicken things. Enjoying a perfect day on the water.

I did do the chicken thing first. The kids are definitely...kids. Poor Eenie. Any of you that had toddlers likely remember not even being able to go to the bathroom alone. Found Eenie on the nest with both chucks chirping away, right in her face. Ran back to the house and grabbed my phone, and this is what I found when I got back!

I bet she was happy when she finished laying that egg and made a run for it.

Yes full time permanent.

Awwwww they have a way of doing that, but I also find animals are not hung up on disability like humans are. Having said that they seem to know that if they are ‘special’ they can get away with everything and always get the best treats 😊

Twister (one of the Azurs) yep flying everywhere - she an buttercup drive me nuts with their flying! And Eli-too, Tippy, Little Grey (who flew into the side of my head last night or!), Muffy, Butterscotch, and Petunia - they are all crazy I tell you!

Glad I didn’t get to know him. No real attachment. He’s not my rooster. But I know how roosters can get.
I can’t believe what he did! He has eyes me a couple times but I ignore him and send him away, my mum is afraid of him now and he kbows it. No going back now. I cannot have a Roo who has bad human manners I have kids running around heare at times.

Ate you keeping Penne or Floyd instead?
