In my experience chickens can enjoy tomatoes but should not eat the leaves of the tomato plant.

Mornin! I had to shut the girlies in the coop overnight because it got cold here. Let them back out while my coffee was brewing and the lecture they gave me! You would think little chicky birds would have some manners!
Here they are a couple days ago being adorable.
