Hopped in the car to go home and my mom told me that Madame passed. Her body is in the freezer, although it’s not very frozen because the freezer doesn’t work the best. We might call the University of Georgia and see if they can do a necropsy on her. I called my dogs vet office to see if they could and they said yes, but that it would be best to call UGA. I’m not sure if we will though.
I’m not sure if the other guineas have processed that she’s gone. She was with them in their coop when she passed, but I’m not sure if they truly know what happened.

A package with elephant toothpaste that activates when opened. Josephine is sending one to you as you don't give enough treats to your chickens. She doesn't have your address so chances are it will be returned to sender.

Bella took a turn yesterday. I got home around midnight and she could barely raise her head. Around 10 this morning as we were fixing to put her in the truck to go to the vet, she passed away in our home. We had a viewing so all of the pups could say goodbye. They watched as we covered her, they know where their sister sleeps

So sorry to hear about Madame Pearl - I am sure the others know. They will deal with it their own way.

Re: necropsy - for next time don't freeze the body, refrigerate it. Freezing it will destroy tissue and organisms that they test for.

Yeah. I called a vet office and they said that too. My mom was just in shock and she just put her in there.

BBQ is growing in some wing feathers. I’m very happy. It’s just very slight, small quills, but it’s progress. When I picked her up yesterday though, I saw these big red looking bugs on her wings and I screamed and dropped her. I feel like when it comes to bugs I am a bad chicken mom…
