Okay, should I complain or just laugh? Yesterday I killed a colony of those tiny red ants 🐜 near the coop.
Today I get in my car, (I had left 2 cookies from yesterday) in the center console, and found a thousand ants crawling around in my car, on the seats and all over the cookies. Tiny ants all over me before I noticed the cookies were in there. :barnie:sick
They were getting even.

Roo update

Well the youngsters are all gone, a gentleman came and took all 5, his 13 yr old boy is chicken mad, and they wanted a couple Roos with their hens, and their neighbour wanted a couple Roos.

So it seems the boys went to new homes with some new ladies.

I am very relieved that they went to a (hopefully) good home.
How wonderful. How did they find you or did you find them?

Ok well, the only male here now is Mr P. The issue with poor Marty missing and found hiding away sealed all their fates. And after seeing how everyone was enjoying themselves out and about the past 2 days with the boys safe in their pen affirmed my decision.

The silkies are just too small to have to deal with rowdy boys. It would be different if it were just the big girls. I would have kept Penne.

But I am glad they are with hens their size.

Here are the gang at this point:
Mr P
Fluffy
Curly
Henny Penny
Marty
Buttercup
Misty
Whiskers
Rose
Dorothy
Blanche
Penelope
Sophia
Tippy
Eli-too
Petunia

😳

Chicken math is a hard thing!
How many more is that since you started on this thread? That's incredible growth in this year alone.

Throwback twofer:
(Pssstt @featherhead007, notice the adorable fuzzy cheeks on the tiny grey chick .. I mean can ya pass that up???)

I will not enable, I will simply suggest.

I would go ahead and set up the brooder just incase. You have been missing easter eggers. If they really do get a shipment in that is a sign. You had so much fun brooding the rocks, imagine the fun brooding some new bearded laidies. Also, poor Dakota does not have a friend. Maybe with some one on one time with the potential new bearded laidies while they are inside being brooded a friendship could be established. Win, Win in my book.
I like this plan 💕🥰

A few EE and Dakota can hopefully show them the ropes on The Way of the Chicken 😊

Two for Tuesday. I know they aren't chickens, but there is two of them! They love tugging on things - including my windchimes that are in the run!

and, yes, I know there are actually lots in this picture (I can still count), but since there are only 2 heads, I'm hoping this works for Two for Tuesday!

I did get a nice true two-fer, but then I realized I could use it for Thirsty Thursday, which I hardly ever have a photo for...so I am saving it!
