Yes, I was thinking Wednesday then mum was talking about doing the Thursday exercise workout, and I relied ‘ooo ya shake it up! Do Thursday on Wednesday’

She looked at me and said ‘it is Thursday’

Ooops! 😆
Am I having a mix up as well? As soon as I looked at my calendar nope, it's Thursday. But that was yesterday. Today is Fluffy Butt Friday, but the only butts I have are wet ones. It was pouring yesterday. The universe decided I'd have a break.

They will love riding the quad! Give’m the chance!

Just like this!

Is anyone holding a chicken at the moment? I am! I always need my morning cup of Coco! No sugar needed, she’s so sweet!
I have held a couple of chickens today, such cutie pies those Azurs... but....

They have LICE

OMG I AM FREAKING OUT HERE - LICE - THEY ARE COVERED IN THEM!

AND NOW I AM COVERED IN THEM.

OK I NEED ADVICE FAST

1. Don’t panic
2. Settle down and think rationally
3. Chemicals You have on hand for lice?
4. Administer what you have!

I am thinking my best bet is to treat with Ivermectin and again in 10 days for the birds themselves

The roosting ledges and nest boxes I will strip down and spray with pyrmethrin.

I have heard great things about Elector PSP but can't get it here in Canada.

Wish I had known about it back in the Spring when I was coming home, I would have dropped into a TSC and got some.

I am thinking it's those Azurs who brought it here, I did check them when I first got them here but they were so wild I guess I didn't so a good enough check.

Poor babies - I can only imagine how awful that crawling is, I have some crawling on me and its horrible. I know they cannot survive on me so I am not worried about that.

What I am worried about is my poor chooks. OK well I am going to start dosing everyone now :(

Then I will strip out all the shavings from the nest boxes and the hen house and summer house, and start removing all the loose hay laying around - on the up side removing all the loose hay should get them ladies to maybe lay in the nest boxes.
