Ok, y'all, I need help deciding.

Looking at another pic for the fall pic contest. Which one?

1. First pic taken, then went for different angles

2. Different angleView attachment 3660134

3. Zoomed in a bitView attachment 3660133

I did submit that chickadee under the tree branch pic. The contest allows up to 4 entries, and I'm wanting to be choosy, so only 1 of the above pics.

I'm thinking NOT 1, but between 2 or 3 :idunno
#3 because it's closer than #2, the snowy mountains and colorful trees are bigger, you're still getting some pale grass in it, and the pole is more disguised against the trees so it isn't a compositional focal point. If there were an eagle or something big - a Brahma chicken? - on the pole top #2 would work though!

Sylvie's day
Sit on ceramic eggs
Sit on ceramic eggs
Make room for Babs who delivered a real egg
Sit on ceramic eggs and Babs' egg
Sit on ceramic eggs and Babs' egg
Get hauled out of nest by nasty human
Eat blueberries
Get attacked by Calypso
Yell blue murder at everyone
Return to sit on ceramic eggs and Babs' eggs ...... Wait, they have all gone!
Sit on nothing
Sit on nothing
Until she gets a egg with a rooster in it.

Oh boy! A family friend has two "decorative fluffy crested what-nots" that she'd like to give me. Hubby, mom, and dad say "nooo" but my kid and I are saying "maybe"
I asked her to send me pics and if they're both hens I'll argue my case. Kiddo wants pompom chickens so bad. So do I.
"decorative fluffy crested what-nots". We are talking about silkies right? If so, do it. I resisted silkies for a few years and was wrong to do so. Silkies are actually so much more then decorative chickens. The hens I have found when not broody are reliable egg layers or small eggs. That is ok. Those small eggs, fit perfectly on a piece of toast for a sandwich or great size for a younger child for a fried egg. When they are broody, and at some point your silkie will be broody. It is not a matter of if, but a matter of when, they are hard to beat as a mother. My Chiquita was right up there with Momma Hen as far as being a good mother hen. Chiquita even adopted chicks after setting on nothing for 5 weeks. She would not break so leghorns magically appeared for her out of thin air. The best thing about silkies that I have found, their snuggles and willingness to be loved on.
