I have sourced them in the states. Someday I'm certain I will have one. They sound just wonderful. I love that Ha'penny. She my kind of chicken.
McMurray has them but they will only ship to the border and I would have to drive and get them. 3hrs to the border, then back….

But they sure are beautiful, and would fit in well with my flying dirveshs 😊

They would fit in with your group very well.

I think Eli must be reincarnated in my chicklets, they are getting worse for flying up over and all around things! I thought they might mature and settle down but nope! They have the friskies lately.
'mature and settle down' comes well AFTER the teenage years, you know! (just look at humans!) Since most of them haven't started laying, then it is waaaaayyyy to early for them to have 'settled down'.

The Spuds roosted in the coop! Yay!

I really had assumed they wouldn’t so soon. We were on a zoom call with friends, so I didn’t monitor the evening. Didn’t even bother to check the cameras before going out, I just went out there. My heart dropped when they weren’t on their usual perch. Saw a tipped-over water bottle, and thought maybe there’s been a scuffle and something bad has happened. Checked the veranda: no one. OK don’t panic, check the coop, and hope they’re in there. Opened the back and took a peek.
What a relief. Yes! They’re in there! All lined up snuggled together on the towel. And Popcorn is with Hazel in the nestbox. I couldn’t contain myself and praised everyone in there, I heard peeps in return, then I closed it up and left to not disturb them any more. Here’s screenshots taken when I got back inside. One Spud had just gotten up and turned around.

Woo0Hoo! Good for you and for the Spuds. You were so patient helping them in the first night - and giving them your comforting sweatshirt so that they would associate that with you and a safe space! So are such a good chicken mom - and the Spuds responded because of it!
