The weening process may have started. Not sure if babies are weening mom or mom weening babies. Last night, went to check the coop (a bit early to close it). Storm and Cardhu had gone in to roost. The rest and most of the Invasion were playing under the olives in the last of the sunshine. Cardhu was snuggled up next to Storm, who wasn't buk-bukking or calling the babes. More observations are needed.
It's always a little sad when they set them free. 😔

Awwww Cardhu might be a mama’s baby 😊

I was really surprised at how fast Sophia dumped her kiddos! And it wasn’t even a slow weening, she one day just had enough and pecked at them to get lost! Poor chicks.
That's how Sydney did it. At 4 weeks too. I figured at least 6 weeks.......

Happy Friday

Here there are sound laws and no one cares. The neighbors behind us will have loud (and awful sounding) music until midnight, or even thirty minutes after midnight. The chooks don't like them.
Police are supposed to enforce those laws.

Sir Jaffar, who I am dedicated to serving, seems to be a bit under the weather today. I found him under the porch lying down by himself. All the ladies are out in the other side of the yard. If Jaffar wants rest, he can do that inside the house. :(
Get well soon buddy. :hugs :hugs
