They had warm layers pellets with porridge this morning. I think they are sulking because I'm being careful with the treats .

It's cold with a little sun here this morning.

No thirsty pics today but I did get a funny picture of Story who looks like he is about say something really important. Maybe it’s the answer to unsolvable riddle of what comes first the chicken of the egg?? Or why did the chicken cross the road??

He got scared off by one of the older girls though so I will never know what he was going to say

Sorry, I got interrupted when trying to answer this days ago and did not get back to it. Thank you!

Yes, Minnie is my remaining Buckeye. Besides her skinniness, she seems great.

Yes, Bridge seems fine otherwise. She is still Boss Bird and still my most robust (active, healthy) of the bunch. However, when she runs, it’s starting to look a bit like Little Mill, so maybe she’s getting arthritis or something? I tried CBD oil once, and couldn’t tell if it helped. I’ll try again this weekend when she’ll have lots of ranging time and I can observe. I can also dose her with aspirin to see if she improves. If she does, I may ask a veterinarian to prescribe meloxicam. I have not tried supplements yet, in case it’s neurological, but I’ve provided sunflower seeds for selenium and canned cat food for vitamin Bs (meat).

Bridge has not laid in years, so she may end up being one of the few who does not die from a reproductive issue. My tribe has so far died from EYP, cancer, or fatty liver. I won’t keep the sunflower seeds going very long so they don’t get fat.

Those Azurs are no-nonsense chooks, they squawk up a storm before laying an egg, then they go and plop out an egg, and leave! No fuss no noise no drama
