I actually got 10 hens out of that one but man it was hard!
When I dove into chickens as pets I learned what I could about the breeds I wanted. I still have a few bucket list breeds but I doubt I will see most of them!
If I win the lottery I want a pair of shoe Phoenix. And they will have a room in the house with yard access because if I have the money to get them, I should be able to cut a hole in the wall lol. Here is the king of the Fuzzballs- Cream. He has found that screaming one note is way better than a crow that takes 3.

sir. Jaffar, he Cocorico! probably looking for Dakota who is inside with me.

Made the switch. Now Sir Jaffar is in and Dakota is out. I will share my shrimp scrambled egg omelette with him, but not the rest of the gang.

I keep reminding him to “Stay off the Crack!”

The girls are that way over soldier fly. The boys prefer the grain. My litte red cochin won't even call the girls for the grain. He hogs it.

Dried soldier fly larvae has changed recently. Too many hard dark dried worms that they don’t like.
And I won’t put them on my vanilla ice cream either!
