Mealworms, pellet feed, a little birdseed we had leftover, and some popcorn to top it off. Along with a bowl of warm water they immediately downed.

Ah so much white stuff! Is this their first snow of the season?

Their second! Halloween we had about six inches, they're a bit more relaxed about it this time. When letting the dog out just a bit ago and saw Samara out in the run scratching in the snow. I should have gotten a pic, little snowy silkie

It was a busy holiday spent at my in-laws, so the only chook pics I could take were via security camera. I left them a gigantic apple on a piñata string and they took turns bashing at it

Back home today and managed one of all six!

For Bob, whom I haven’t seen by in a while:

Albert strikes again, this time in the soft ticklish rib fur! Poor dog, minding her own business.

The vet here did give Peanut a liquid knock-out medicine by mouth first, but that just put her into some sort of sleep. It took a couple of minutes for her. She then used another med by a vein to actually euthanize her. We waited until Peanut appeared to be truly unconscious and the vet said to not wait long after that because the sleep is not a normal sleep and if you wait it can feel distressing to them.

Yes, they sedate them prior to administration of the substance they use to euthanize them. I know this with the horses
