What prompted todays quick photoshoot was @BY Bob photo's of Lady F and her spots. I adore Lady F, love her spots. I know with both Jubilee Orps and Speckled Sussex the older they get the more spots they get. It is surprising to me, although maybe not to those who have had sussex in the past that the sussex are so spotted so young. Lady F has a year age difference on Spot and Dot so I would expect her to have way more spots then they do.

Pictures from this afternoons photoshoot.
Dottie, heavily spotted but less so then her sister. She is also lighter in build at the moment. She may be on her way to committing crimes against her owner during the day but, at night she enjoys a good crop massage on the roost.View attachment 3694945View attachment 3694946View attachment 3694947View attachment 3694948View attachment 3694949

I was surprised at how few spots Lady Featherington had at first but at this rate of change she is going to look like Glynda in a few years.

What does it feel like first thing in the morning before she gets off the roost?

I am not sure what stinky feed smells like. Does it smell like anything else you can think of?
I'm sleeping when those things wake up. My sister can check though because she wakes up at the rooster's crow.
It smells like, well, stinky chicken feed. And all the others have the same smell, so I think it's normal.

Sour Crop. Beetov-hen.
We think Beetov-hen has a sour crop. It's big and squishy. What should we do with her?
(I would sing the Ode to Poo by Barbara Beetov-hen, but she never gave me the music).
Sour crop has an odor. Do you smell anything?

I understand that completely. I got lucky and my mom lived here. When I busted out of my dad's house in PA, she came and brought me here. My first Thanksgiving I were a tank top and shorts. It was 83. I was shocked
That would be shocking compared to PA.
