Jumping in also….

I am smitten with my Azurs, I was freaked out when I first got them worried they would be wild and untamed.

But gosh they have turned out to be the friendliest little birds! My only concern is if they lay too much. Being a leghorn hybrid it my biggest worry.

And they are small in size and can come in splash colour and have funky topknots with thos big floppy combs 💕
Despite what @RoyalChick says about Cream Legbars, those wonderful birds are fairly tame. Agathae believes with her whole heart and soul that I am a rooster. She will even seek me out occasionally after laying a egg while squaking her head off. I also know how to get her to be quiet. She will hit you in the face and jump out the door if she's bored of sitting on your lap though.

I love this. I used to think this was Momma Hen. Now, I think Dottie is plotting my demise.
Well I can tell you as of yesterday morning showing my palm to Diane-Ida first does not stop her biting it. She grabbed the looser skin by my thumb and pulled! I did then reach over and tap her moderately hard on the back as she ran away. Since then however, she has not tried to bite my hand, though she has lightly pecked my gloved hand. She has looked at flesh but then side-stepped away. She will still eat feed or treats from my bare hand, and I gladly feed her. She can leap onto my hat and hang out up there. She is welcome to peck and pull on my clothes, test out my drawstrings and whatnot. She can help clean off any little fuzzballs or bits she thinks need tidying up, and see what's in the folds. Just no biting of flesh please. So far, she hasn't gone for my hand again. Yet!

Watch your eyes ! And teeth 😁

I'm Seeing Spots. Lots More Spots.
She already has feathers coming out and check out all the white! It looks like she is going to be "superspotted" after this molt!
Of my two gals who have fully molted, neither retained her same feathering! Dottie, like Lady Featherington, gained SO many more spots. At this rate, next year she will be a white bird. And Quincy went from having a brilliant orange mane with black intrusions, to plain rusty orange.
Do most chickens change appearance?

In my experience they stay pretty much the same. Patsy's head and neck feathers grew down towards her body each year. Aside from that it has always been just a refresh of their current feathers until Lady Featherington.
