I haven’t been out to the barn yet, got home around 5:30, unpacked, supper, just heading out there now.

Cannot wait for new pictures. I hate to bring up the past but, am I correct in thinking that young Floyd was one of the more gentle of your boys? Even with crazy Marty as a momma I do not remember horror stories from him. A Silkie x Polish cross really might make a well mannered roo.

Well, before, you did not have Mr. P. and several older hens. Really, that is a huge part in bringing up a well mannered young boy. Bert will have a shot the other's this summer and in the past did not. He will be the ONLY young male. Mr. P and your girls will only have him to focus on teaching him to mind his place. He will also have no brothers who he will feel compelled to fight for position making him a jerk. This really could be the perfect set-up for you a new boy. Ok, no more pressure on his tiny little shoulders. Bert is a baby, let us all enjoy him for what he is right now. A cute ball of fluff.

Baby update

They sure have grown this past week, and now getting their wing feathers! Betty’s wing feathers are starting to curl. Also I can now really see that she doesn’t have leg feathers, and only her one foot has 5 toes.

Bert, has lovely feathered legs and 5 toes, also when I picked him up he didn’t struggle and just seemed to accept his fate at being held.

Miss Betty had a lot to say about being picked up haha.

Baby update
