No, just "antibiotics," and it was not a sure thing, it's depending on her symptoms. Thus the pictures if she asks. The only thing I'm observing is that she's got bubbles in her eyes. She seems okay otherwise, and the vet examined her too.So sorry to hear this beauty isn’t feeling well.
Did your vet say what she would place her on when the test comes back?
Yes, that's a nice big shelter back there, room for horses and chickens! But the one thing that comes to mind - what has been planted there, and what sort of pesticides and plant-killers have been put on the soil? How long do you have to wait for them to be safe for chickens? You think this piece of property would make a good chicken coop?View attachment 3698096
Well that’s it, I will have to drive down some eggs to you next summerThey have already been claimed. No surprise they did not last long. Did not know the sex as they did not state it. Looked to be about 3 to 4 months old.
Well sure hope she is just having some ‘head cold’ symptoms and not a full blown feeling dreadful illness. No, just "antibiotics," and it was not a sure thing, it's depending on her symptoms. She is a nervous lady, very alert and watches for predators and anything amiss. She is very predator-savvy and runs to be under the coop or within the wire run when there's anything possibly, remotely wrong. She doesn't take chances at all.
She mostly stays out of the fray of pullet-chasing that Popcorn engages in, occasionally positioning herself in a savvy spot to watch and just stand there making a pullet dodge to get by her. Sometimes it looks to me like she kind of likes the thrill. Generally she's quite tolerant of the pullets, and they know it and are very comfortable though still wary around her, she only needs to lean in a little and they'll move away. The only one she actually admonishes once in a great while is Popcorn.
She'll answer to her name and readily come to me for a walnut bit; but she hangs toward the back, calling out a long caw. She doesn't like the intense competition for treats. Popcorn too knows her name when it's her turn. But all the pullets answer to "Spuds" and are only slowly learning their names, my fault. Popcorn tries to keep them all away so it's a scrum.
She is first to go to bed, but I'm not sure if that's because she doesn't feel well. Popcorn is second and is pretty close behind.
HRH Aurora has made it known that pink is the colour of egg to lay it seemsPink, very obviously pink. Even my brother who can care less about egg color asked who was laying pink eggs. He thought it was Owly and sis would be upset she did not get her blue or green eggs.

HahahahaBy the way, I have chosen “Flash” as my guest inside the house tonight.
She’s so talkative and smart.
But she insisted that she is BATMAN!

I think in that part of California, it’s rather arid, no real green vegetation grows there - looks like Bakersfield area - is it near there Alex?
