Nice! But I know too many Suzies Wouldn’t want them offended by the honor of a like-named chicken.

I am smitten though. The poor girl must have had such a lonely few weeks; she hopped right on my shoulder this evening and purred while rubbing herself in my pony tail. She also slept on the ground last night, so I wonder if she’s young enough that she had still been heaping herself onto a pile of pullets every night until she got lost.

Go with Salty then....although it appears she's too sweet for that one. She's certainly full of personality! Take some time to get to know her. Darling could be a good name, .... or Sweet Pea.....

Caturday story

My parents came for dinner earlier this week (enroute to surgery for my dad, went well). They brought their dog. 1st time Sherlock has had to share HIS space. Arrived after dark, so no pics. Kelby has only been here once, the day they got him, so is checking out unfamiliar space. Sherlock is FOCUSED on Kelby: play with me, play, play, play. They settled a bit, we ate dinner.

As they're getting ready to leave, I notice Castor sitting on the patio just outside the door

Before I can say anything, Dad opens the door and Castor has not 1 but 2 dogs in his face. I heard him hiss, my son saw both front paws up like he was going to claw, then POOF he's gone into the dark, both dogs following.

Kelby is normally VERY good with cats (hangs out without chasing). He came right back. Sherlock a bit more reluctantly. Castor settled down pretty quickly because he was back later that evening. He's been standing up to Sherlock who bounces around him, but is giving Castor space. Looks like the 2 bloody noses Sherlock has received have been good for him.
