Not certain what happened with Red and his mom. Lety buried Red before I knew he had passed. I saw his mom. There was no wounds and she appeared healthy. Lety said they were not eating and lethargic yesterday and when she went to check this morning they were dead.

Oh gosh that’s sad. I hope it’s nothing passing along the flock, who knew chickens could be so much stress.

Oh she is fine.
I give her gabapentin before we go because she freaks out and the vet can’t get near her.
It makes her hilariously chill about everything for a few hours.
She wouldn’t let me look at her foot yet today but I am still hoping it is all cleared up.

What happened to her foot? I hope it all works out okay.

Short update. It's been a stressful week thanks to 30 grand in plumbing repairs and a poorly planned service call for me thanks to my boss botching it from the beginning. I lost my cool with my boss and the customer but still have my job. My buddy Jeff left Texas today and my only other friend has colon surgery planned soon. I woke to find that my favorite rooster and his mom passed overnight. On a positive note our grandson will be born any day.

What a stressful time and a hopeful one, all rolled up together

That is the worst. I'm so sorry that happened to you.

We were on vacation once for 2 weeks and sometime while we were away the fridge died. The stench and mold when I opened that fridge door was frightening.

She really is looking spectacular with the strong contrasts in feather color now. But I think she looks great with the smooth creamy transitions in color later too!

Such a nightmare I had last night. I dreamt that I was a car’s muffler, I woke up exhausted !
