I was taking some photos for next years calendar entries

Cumulo has a lovely topknot going on there, who gave her that?

Would you call Blanche a splash? She is a lovely hen (you know I love spots right? And stripes and wattles and combs and dapples ).

Cumulo's topknot is bigger than her mother's. Came from crested cream legbar grandparent of Storm's. Blanche (and PITA) are splash....and built like leghorns.....with the active personality to go with. Delighted for that around my place. They're backup sentinels to the roos....and frequently do take a watch.

A tiny miracle, the sun is out! It has been so dark lately. Now that i am caught up I think i will see if i can get the chickens to come out for some photos
