At last we can see the sky and the sun is shining.

Princess is happily in the garden with her cat protector

My neighbor has 4 3 chickens "at large." It was two each, black and white, but one of the black ones has probably been a raccoon's dinner. Or one of the feral cats that roams the area.

These 3 chickens mostly go to the other neighbor's house, as they have a few (wild) bird feeders and neat places to scratch around. The other neighbor sent around a picture of what they found in a corner by their stoop. Yup, about 3 dozen eggs.
:th
Finders keepers! 3 dozen eggs, wow!

And as for the chooks I would be keeping them! Finders keepers ! ❤️

You don't need a Sweeter Heater, get a safe infrared panel like the Cozy Coop if you like, which goes on sale once or twice a year, besides being 1/3 the cost of a Sweeter Heater anyway. It can help raise the local temp just enough, and those that need it can snuggle up

Have one of those also, unfortunately it stopped working darn it!

I will need to get my Uncle to look at the switch when he come up here Monday.

My chickies do like laying next to it 💕😊

The neighbor told them to keep the eggs, and told them how to do a float test to see if some of them are past their prime.

The chickens are just about feral now. I think they "go home" at night (else they'd all be gone, I bet), but get out everyday. The neighbor has basically written them off and doesn't worry about whether they survive or not.

I watched a news clip about a black cat scaring off two coyotes from attacking a cute white dog in his garden.

Yesterday my neighbour spoke too me from across the road, this startled princess, (she a jumpy old thing ) pusscat immediately placed himself between princess and my neighbour, this made her relax.
He's a funny old cat, he may not mean to be so helpful but somehow he just is.
Princess certainly appreciates him. They are a good pair. 🥰
