The neighbor told them to keep the eggs, and told them how to do a float test to see if some of them are past their prime.

The chickens are just about feral now. I think they "go home" at night (else they'd all be gone, I bet), but get out everyday. The neighbor has basically written them off and doesn't worry about whether they survive or not.

Grab those babies and keep them safe

Naughty princess kept coming inside and ing on the floor. She's now back in her own domain but I'm sad because I think she's better out the front on the grass.

This is the new water can I bought that was supposed too be the best. It sticks and you can't refill it. I managed to open it after a week but its now stuck again

I explained all this and the fact that my coop needs a hanging waterer. I purchased this with the hanging hook and rope, not cheap.

All this came as I became ill and Princess was on antibiotics.

They sent another that will only go on the floor. So it looks as if I will have to find another supplier, which I am sad about because I have been using this supplier for a long time and even bought food for a rescue from them. How disappointing it all is.

I love this photo of them looking right at your face! While I don’t doubt they would peck your eye if they could, it also looks like they may choose to groom you

It was the deep dark channel between my face and the hood - Tedi had just put her beak in there and pushed it sideways, making it wider, they wanted to see what's in there. Grooming or inspecting by feel was the major occupation - I caught a couple of upside-down views of Anna though, and closed my left eye just in case. Looking with the phone was safer!

You could give her a cat carrier or box near the door but outside, she might be wanting a shelter to retreat to now and then. She's all exposed out on the lawn.
