I’m sorry Bob. I don’t know what came over me. The fever I guess. I tested positive for Covid last night, and I’m hibernating in my bedroom for the duration. Sir Jaffar is catering to my every need. (He’s such a good rooster)
I’m holding him, and he is covering me with his wings. He knows that I’m feeling poorly.

You meant BETTY and BERT, right? (not Bert and Betty??????)

I can turn this into a shell feeder right?
A couple weeks I would say - normally.

Any container will do but yep use that - I am lazy and just throw it on the floor.

Sorry to hear your under the weather. Tis the season I guess. I sure hope Sir Jaffar is taking good care of you (o know he is).

Plenty of fluids and protein foods like eggs, and maybe some nice jello…. Easy to digest.

Feel better soon!

Sure! You can turn many things into many other things - be creative! I love FREE and REPURPOSING!

I'm assuming it is plastic, yes? If it is wax coated cardboard, it will not hold up for long - but if it is plastic, it should. If you put holes in the back side to zip-tie it to the fencing, I would suggest not doing it too close to the top, and making the holes a bit apart so there is 'more plastic' between the holes so it doesn't tear easily. Don't ask me how, but I had small plastic repurposed cups* I used for grit and oyster shell - and evidently they made for great foot-holds when there was a fracas and one that I made the holes in too close to the top broke.

*The 'cups' were the plastic containers, flat bottom, that restaurants used @ bars to hold cherries and sliced lemons, etc. A local restaurant went out of business and I got them for free! Fairly ridge/heavy...but one cracked from being a foothold/launching pad during young rooster idiot stages behavior with each other.
