I'll be taking your garlic bread (and your stack of dirty dishes). You're making me hungry againHubby had to snow plow when he got home today! I warmed him up with spagetti and homemade garlic bread (he says "homemade bread is good for this. We can do it again")
Also...look at the memo he left on my phone while I was in the shower... My homework is to find and price all these options.

He understands the rule of nest boxes (they all pile in one) but he says he'll feel better if we have extras. That way Shep and Kasumi can sleep there because they already sleep in our two. Sometimes they cram into one.

Our current run has a 5 foot doorframe that I always bonk my head on, we should go walk in then!
He says I "owe" him a big dog or a conure when our dog gets old and passes.
As for the rules, we have 5 acres and I believe the township limits us to 100 chickens. Which is...probably too many chickens for me to be able to care for them haha.
And how about this twofer from a bit back, before the snow. View attachment 3722787

Wow! That’s windy - but warm there
I'm so glad you are finally getting the help you deserve.I am already impressed with the hospice care. Me and mom have personally felt for the last year that grandma's family doctor has pretty much washed his hands with her. Fighting for months to get what few things we needed and never ordering some things that needed done. One of the requirements of hospice was they are working with a different primary care physician and they would take over refilling prescriptions or changing medications. Grandma has been having bad nightmares for 3 months and she was blaming it on some of her medication. She also has constant nausea. The nurse called today after talking with the dr. He is switching one of her medications, it is known to cause nightmares. He is also adding pepcid because the blood thinners she is on wrecks havoc on the stomach lining. They also are now supplying the shuck pads and adult diapers and wipes that we have been having to buy out of pocket for 6 months. They also dropped off Niastatic *I think* powder and ointment for the bed sore area.
Wow, you let them have an account on beakbook awfully young!Sorry. The temp is in Celsius... so its very warm here...

With limited space, elevated doubles your available chicken space and is more efficient. If space is no issue a walk in would likely be easier in a number of ways. You have a large property, right? No city limits on how many chickens you could have? …because I would go ahead and plan big with a walk-in! But I’d put my money on investing in a nice large run
That said, I love my off-the-ground, but the city limits me to eight chooks so I couldn’t dream too big.
That sounds like my run. Ouch!Ouch! I’ve done that before. To get into the chicken run, you need to duck through the door because there is a wooden post at the top. I’ve forgotten to duck more than once (much to my embarrassment) and have hit my head and seen stars. Ohhh, fun times. I am much more careful and I haven’t hit my head in a good few months ( I don’t wanna jinx myself now…)
Edit: perhaps I should say that the wooden post at the top of the door is very low, and there is also a post sticking up from the ground at the bottom. You have to step up WHILE ducking to get into my darn run.
