Not yet, but obviously that worries me and why I am keen to figure out hot-wire solution until the fence can go back up.
There is an anti-dig apron around the whole structure.
It's like they know they can't dig their way in. Fox are very clever. I'm surprised they have never tried. Interesting.

Beautiful is not a word I like to use with snow but yes it can be; 5” is good amt. you keep it!
I just love fresh fallen snow. I love the sound snow makes while falling. Everything stops moving and the world gets so quiet for a time. A good snow storm is a true blessing and something to be savored.

Aurora marooned in the snow. She flew there from the deck and was stuck. I had to rescue her.

Oh bless her :love

I did not know this, thank you. The roads are bad here right now. They have done a good job of keeping the highway clear, but the hollers and back roads are terrible. We postponed the hospice nurses visit this morning. She called asking about the roads. If we had needed her she would have tried to come out. We informed her the roads were terrible, we were good and not to worry about us today. I know they are having to brave this weather to reach their patients that truly need them. Me and mom have managed on our own for almost 2 years, and their help is a blessing. That said, not worth a guilty conscience if something terrible happened to them if they tried to get to us to help with a bath or bring another pack of diapers. Over the phone we checked her vitals for them to put in their records. She has all her medication, no refills needed and since she got the new mattress grandma is happy. We also were thrilled to report to the nurse that the powders they prescribed for her bed sore has worked wonderfully and it is healing. Best it has looked in months.
Do you have salt/sand trucks and plows down there? Or do you so rarely get snow you don’t need them? I always wonder how people manage south of here when they get bad weather they aren’t used to.

I know my dad worked in Dallas one winter on a project down there and they had a freeze up and no one went anywhere! He and his friend went to work as usual the roads were empty, they were the only ones at work, they were both surprised, but like he said they don’t have the salt/sand trucks like here.

Do you have a 4x4 at all ? How do you get around if the roads are bad? Or do you just stay put (much safer!).

I guess if one doesn’t get snow all the time one would find it amazing 😊
