Yes, it’s called Arugula here, it’s a lovely addition to any salad

Meanwhile my chooks won’t eat it or lettuce, cabbage though that’s really enjoyed!

I suggest trimming back those fluffy butt feathers so that the poop doesn’t get clogged there. I did this last week with all my ladies who have poopy bums.

Just trim the feathers down stream of her vent - watch out for any blood feathers don’t want to snip any of those!

Gave her a trim. I didn't know what blood feathers looked like so I just did the fluffy ones.

How long will the trim last? I have to redo the sanitary trim on my pomeranian every three months, is it about that long for her too?

That’s perfect, it will last until she gets new feathers. Mammals fur is different than feathers, those are replaced when they moult.

A blood feather won’t be fully opened, it will be a pin feather, they have a blood vessel running up the base of the feathers and if you trim it they bleed! (Sorry Mr P….). If one gets snipped (or broken) just pull the feather out to help stop it bleeding.

Those are tiny - they are only big enough for maybe 2 chickens each - approx. 32" x 32" (7 square feet per level - and it looks (?) like the lower levels are supposed to be nest boxes?? Who only has 2 chickens???...even in italy?

And as of this morning, I have feathers tucked into the windo frame of my brooder tote and more scattered on the floor around the kitchen and living room. They are to be LEFT ALONE. And Sherlock WILL learn this. We will be getting babies to raise in the house to work on this too.
