I posted this in another thread, but I wanted to share it here, too.

This story does a bit to restore my faith in my fellow human beings.

My neighbor, Jamie, is dying of heart failure. They called a small company to come clean their windows. The price had gone up, of course, since everything is more expensive. They told the guys to do what they could do in the time allowed for the $200 fee. One of the workers saw Jamie sitting in her chair, bundled up in blankets, and asked her husband if she was ok.

No, no she's not.

He gave them the check for $200, and one of the guys wanted to give him $100 bill in change. Charlie said, no, but thank you. So the guy said that they had noticed that the gutters were clogged full of leaves, and they would come back another day to clean them, for free.

Which they did, today.
Gosh what a lovely story!

Thanks for sharing - sometimes you hear of wonderful people and it restores one’s faith in people 💕

Took Sherlock out for a walk/run this morning. Had something odd looking moving up the driveway. Didn't recognize until it turned to run. Lightish toned fox. We walked down the drive to make sure it got a GREAT whiff of Sherlock. As I turned to head back toward the house, I realize I'm being watched....from the edge of the draw in the pasture. The fox, again. We went out into the pasture and it vanished again. Needless to say, I'm keeping an eye on the tribe and let the neighbor know too.
Oh no! You don't want them hanging around.

Question
So a person who buys eggs from me asked about the colour of the egg white in a couple eggs she used, she said they where ‘creamy’ I think she meant cloudy.

From what I read this is from eggs being very fresh.

Has anyone ever noticed this before?

And should she and I worry?

What I found:

https://ask.usda.gov/s/article/Is-the-appearance-of-eggs-related-to-food-safety#:~:text=A cloudy egg white (albumen, indication the egg is aging.
You are correct of course. If the "white" is clear and spreads in the fry pan the egg is older. A cloudy more condensed "white" means a fresher egg.

SHRA tax. In anticipation. My 4.5 year olds.

Welp, kiddo is sick. Temp of 102 and complaining she doesn't feel well. She's trying to nap in her tiny recliner right now so hopefully she perks up after that.
Guess I'll bring my crochet out to the living room so I can keep an eye on her.
Hope she feels better quickly. :hugs :hugs

Took kiddo to see her chickens, and she insisted we put Liara's freshly laid egg in a bowl for them so they got a nice mash with the kibble and seeds. Even Morinth got out for it!

They got to eat outside the run so kiddo could love on them.

Liara did her whole flighty thing but it didn't take too much to put her away when kiddo was ready to go inside.

And finally...the perfect sicky reading is here.

And my fourth girl. The silkies aren't from a farm store!
My 4 pullets are from Hoovers ‘coloured egg package’ - got a blue, green, brown and terra-cotta coloured eggs from them 😊❤️

I am still on the fence as to what I might get from them through Peavey Mart.
