I just fell asleep with my fur babies and I'm still tired.

I've had a fab afternoon night and breakfast morning with my son. He wore me out and spoiled me rotten. I rarely get to see him. This is the first alone time we've had in so many years. It was really a wonderful experience

It wasn't possible to cook a complex meal today, so I've just made a really quick spicy lentil and vegetables soup

Soft Shell

Someone laid a soft shelled egg in the middle of the yard today. I think it might have been Phyllis. Everyone has been laying eggs with tough shells so in hoping it's a one off right now.

Let me make a more clever name suggestion for this beautiful lady.

"Lakshmi" is the Hindu goddess of beauty, charm, grace, and prosperity. The name means 'lucky omen'.

I got some flaked oyster shell yesterday. I put some in the OS/eggshell holder. I think the ladies are digging past it looking for eggshells.

Hello FBF, I am doing some chicken sitting with a heavy heart, my mama passed on the 7th, she had been ill for some time. I got to travel back to Delaware to see her shortly before and I am grateful for that.

Your mum sounded like a lovely lady, I am so glad you were able to get back to see her. I am sure she was comforted by this.

How is your Auntie doing? I sure hope she is ok - she was caring for you mum if I remember.
