But to drive to the hangar and back would be a whole additional hour of the day gone. Then again I’m coming from a “most of the places I need to go are a 10 minute walk away” sort of a neighborhood.
I have a 10 min walk to the barn 😆

Ok not 10 min 😊 but I do live 30 min from town also. Which is why I only grocery shop once a week. Of course I do have to drive to work and back 5 days a week.

Trio Tuesday 🤦‍♀️🫣

Sorry guys, none of these three wanted to split up into a 2fer, because of FOMO no doubt. Becky, Fez, and Dottie. All three are laying quite well these days: 6,5,4 eggs this week respectively.

Aha! A 2fer! Two Easter eggers, Quincy and Perry. Quincy is on the 2-eggs-a-week train, and Perry also seems to favor only laying two tiny shell-less eggs a week. I hope her shell gland hops into gear soon!

News: I made arrangement to pick up the new chicks on Thursday!! Hip hip hurray! Time to set up the brooder.

Teehee he could see the heater now instead of run into it 😅 Good work with the haircut. Did he fuss when you did it?

So how is Marty doing with the changes? Is she pining for Mr P?
Oh yes trimming him was perfect for him! He was well able to see afterwards - and proceeded to bite me 4 times 😆

Trimming him was easy, and I am happy that he is better able to see. Better to woo the ladies 😁💕

Ya last night he ran smack into the corner of the sweeter heater poor wee monkey!

I really don’t think he was too concerned with my trimming his ‘hair’, and to be fair I am the one who precipitated the biting. And instead of trimming his lower muff feathers under his eyes I tried to yank them out - that what I do with my Fluffy and Curly - seems he took exception to that - gave me the evil stink eye and promptly bit me 😁 after that whenever I put my hands near his head he bit me - so I had to use the scissors to trim the feathers under his eyes. Always freaks me out using scissors there.

But he is trimmed up now so he should be fine for his stay here.

Shep is stylish today! And Liara kept trying to sneak out but settled in for some scritches.

I hard boiled 21 eggs! For hubby's lunches and maybe some for my breakfast tomorrow.

Then I fried up another 6 with hashbrowns and bacon for dinner tonight. 😀
I had a heck of a time peeling them so the girls got wet shells with bits of egg stuck to them.

I cleaned the leftover rabbit bits out and threw them in dad's woodstove. Smelled like delicious bbq after a while. 😬
