Rest in Peace Jack

His back was broke and the spinal cord severed. Surgery was given as a option, but due to the location of the injury he would never have control of his bladder or bowels again. Vet thinks it happened sometime yesterday instead of this morning as his bladder was huge. Mom considered the surgery but dad made the call to euthanize. He said having to be catharized to pee every time for the rest of his life was no way to live.
She told you days before, you get her days later. It's fair.Yes! I need ideas! And oh yeah, she is a very fun teacher. The possibility of it being an April fools prank occurred to me, but she told us all DAYS before April fools day. I was wondering though… none of her teacher friends seemed very upset.
Bad Gryffyn, you beast you!Well, I am glad I did not set Momma Hen last night. I did not break her, the dang cochin girls saw to that. I knew that was a bad spot for her to go broody. Flurry and Grouchy Gryffyn sleep there. Yes, I gave up on them sleeping in the coop. They will not roost, they have chosen that secluded corner as their own. If something were to get to them, they would have to get by both Russ and Dirt so I have let them be. Gryffyn took offense to Momma Hen and was evil to her today relentlessly pecking, sitting on her and just being a brat that she gave up. I promise you this Gryffyn, if she hits the hill now, you are chicken and dumplings.
Those Cochins are nothing but trouble. Egg eaters still even after Gryffyn hatched and reared chicks. They are pretty girls with a big fluffy booty and feathered feet. That is all they have going for them. I am stuck with them. Grandma loved them and claimed them as her own.Bad Gryffyn, you beast you!
Darn, I sure hope she doesn’t chose up there again. Oh these animals one has to have nerves of steel to own them![]()

Wow Pippa!Today's haul.View attachment 3789846I thought everyone was laying. Either someone laid the world's largest fairy egg, or one of the pullets held out until now for her first egg.
Pippa's is the large olive egg, Maizie has the one to the right. Shan and Chia have the 2 small roundish brown eggs on opposite sides of the circle. The 2 white matching the shape (top and bottom) are from Lark and Indigo. The hamburg shape/size is rather distinctI've. The longish dirty one is Mera's I think. The other white and the other browns: not quite sure. Not Belladonna, Primula, Twirp, or Cuckoo.
Very sad, and an extra burden of grief to carry given all your family has been through, not a great topper to it all. So sorry!View attachment 3789521
