When you are a “Chicken Daddy” like me, you must take time for everyone under your care. My situation is this:
I have seven ladies, each with their own personalities (of which I have known for several years)
The new arrivals take time, patience and a damp towel to wash and handle them. My trick, is raising all of them to be lap chickens. Sadly, the more friendly my chooks are, the more vulnerable to human interference, and there is a lot of ugly people around town. Some even next door.

What about Pilot, Bellwether, Navigator, or Coxswain for the other buffs? Belle and Navi as possible nicknames.

I have Latitude, and Longitude.
Latte and Tudi. That’s the three yellow ones.

I am thinking of calling my little friendly grey EE, “Vector” but I’m not convinced that she fits the name yet.

And I have been calling my Golden Laced Wyandotte, just “come here little cutie girl Wyandotte !”
But she deserves a name too.
I’ve tried lil dottey. Whining Wyandotte, stop eating my mustache you carnivorous little raptor! And several other names too but none have fit.

Really? Those are humans wearing fur . My little one won’t be wearing that fuzz for very long. But I am very excited to see what she look like all feathered in.
