Like you I am still learning about the two roo dynamics. I can share what I see though as it seems similar to the behavior you are seeing.

My two boys get on with one another. They work in tandem when out to free range it’s amazing to see honestly. The only time I see chasing, like you described, is when the Jr roo (Story) gets to rough or the head honcho (Lore) thinks he is bothering or upsetting the hens. All he does though is chase him away a bit. No one gets anything other than their feelings hurt.

Perhaps this is what is happening and Mr P is simply teaching the younger Roo. I hope so!

Littlest ones are chirping and wanting out of the brooder. They love hopping around in the chickens room. They grow up so fast. But I better have some breakfast first before letting them out. (Otherwise I will have to wait until lunch later).

Yes I hope that Bert just Carrie’s on being good and they all live in harmony here.

I don’t often see MrP chasing Bert so hopefully that is a good sign!

Four of the six littles are now lap sitting on me, watching “saving private Ryan” the other two are having breakfast and making a mess. Sir Jaffar probably told them “if you get a chance to watch movies with your hooman, you should do it!”.
I believe he actually told them that.

I will honor all of his wishes for his family. I will protect and defend the chooks under my care. I thank Sir Jaffar, for what he has done to protect all of his family and the leadership he has displayed throughout the few short years, he was with us.
