Up with the usual leg thing going on…

Wee bantams got fed up I guess and went below the brooder to sleep. I am glad they are so tiny. The rest are up getting a snack.

Everyone in Hen House A & B are snoozing, I give up trying to stop Buttercup from roosting up top of that door.

Caught Reenie flat out snoozing.

And not to worry people she is just sleeping she’s getting up now.

Good afternoon everyone.

My room feels so empty. My room is the last with carpet still and it is where Gracie spent most of her time the last few years. She had arthritis and she did not feel comfortable walking on the slick floors. She should be in her spot between my bedside and my computer chair refusing to move and making me walk overtop of her if I needed to walk around it for something. I'm still in disbelief that she is gone. Mom took the dogs on a walk down to the horse ring yesterday morning. It had rained all day and throughout the night so the creek was up. She sat on the bleachers for a hour and let them play in the creek since we were going to give them a bath yesterday. Gracie swam to her hearts content and got filthy without being scolded for it. On their way back home in front of my next door neighbors another neighbor was leaving. Mom said he was crawling and she had the dogs in my neighbors yard behind her. Gracie did something she had not done since she was a pup, came out of a sit and bolted in front of my neighbor's car. Mom could not stop her and my neighbor could not stop in time and he hit her. Mom is a wreck, my neighbor is a wreck and really, the rest of us are in the same shape. CeeCee is lost without Gracie. She is just laying in the living room, awake but whining. She refused to eat yesterday and her food bowl is still untouched. 22 years, for over 22 years I have had at least one Golden Retriever in my life and it feels so wrong now that I do not have one.

I am so very sorry. May you see her again on the rainbow bridge

First mishap with little CeeCee I found her hanging upside down by one leg stuck to the transfer cage.
She’s okay now but I brought her into the house to check for any broken bones.
Same thing happened to Canna when she was young. Same EE, same color, same attitude. Is it a coincidence?
