Thank you. I'm antsy but good.

I just flushed Phyllis from lady Featherington's nest box. She had no eggs under her. Phyllis I guess just wants to sleep with the broodies.
How is she feeling? Marty seems to be better. I tell you these animals give me grey hair.

Good afternoon Kelly.

My old princess is out the back today. She's had her run cleaning done all her 💩 is gone but the weather here isn't to good. It's been grey sky a chilly wind and rain is due. The two stray cats have been fed and my puss and dog are both hiding under a blanket.

My old dog has started having paracetamol now. He's getting worse, the lovely veterinary nurse suggested he should take a paracetamol every eight hours. But I'm keeping them lower for now so they still help him later on

I really must look up other pain killers he can take as his pain increases :(
Ok..sounds like we're in the same boat. I'm not sure what your little one has. My 13 year old Shi Tzu is having pain and seizures. She's been on Carprophen and Tramadol for a while now. Carprophen for inflammation and Tramadol is a pain pill. The vet just started her on phenobarbital for her seizures. She scared me so bad with the latest ones..I thought she was dying right in front of me. It was awful. She had been having seizures off and on for this past year, but not nearly this bad! The medication is helping. She's had a few but their not nearly as bad as she was having the past few weeks. Oh man, loving dogs is wonderful until it's time to say goodbye. I'm older, I've had a few. I've got several in box urns. We can't explain all of her pain. We know she has arthritis. Limps pretty bad at times. Meds help..Carpophen. She'll be laying down soundly and all of a sudden jump up yelping and goes on to walk off what ever pain that was. I give her extra Tramadol when she does that. :( She acts perfectly fine at times during the day...meds..helping. Whats going on with your dog?

Power is out again, the genny kicked in so we are at least ok for power and internet. Not sure why it’s out I didn’t think the wind was that bad.

Unfortunately the digital timer I had the fan on for the chooks doesn’t work once power is cut to it, so they are all very unhappy out there. I will go out and start it up again in a bit when the rain stops. I had to leave the Hen House door open as it is just too hot to close it up.

With temps slated to be in the mid to high 30s (high 90s) next week I really need to get a proper summer door in place. Also need to set up the fans for the chooks in the Summer House also, those bantam baby sure aren’t cold tonight.

Poor pony Lulu hasn’t shed her full winter coat so I will need to clip her body this weekend - I don’t like clipping horses it’s noisy with the clippers and the hair cuttings get everywhere.

Ah summer… love it!

Ok here is some photos of the little darlings.

We call him Mr P - P for purple 😉

BIL and I clipped Mr P’s spurs back, cut off a good inch. Nipped the quick on the one spur though. Even though I used a flashlight and marked where to cut with a marker. He’s ok, I sprayed more Blue-Kote on his spur.

The hens were also having another go at his rump/tail - so that received a generous spraying of Blue-kote also. May as well dye him blue!

3 musketeers are in the brooder.

The last silkie to hatch is still in the incubator. I have 2 more pipped. I may have a fluffy chick before midnight. Adele is a little polkie and is a Mr. P daughter. Clean legs, no double toes and going by the bump on the head will have a awesome poof as a adult. I hope she is a frizzle.

She seems the same. She's still not roosting. Poor Hattie is all alone in the Cluckle Hut with the 2 broodies and Phyllis in the main coop.
