Oh Phyllis

You can't sleep with her dear. I'm going to have to move her.

Awwww

Wonder if she is thinking of going broody?

Whiskers is still broody the old bat - going on 5 weeks now.

Dorothy is at 2 weeks. She is good, she gets off the nest eats drinks poops dust bathes screams at everyone then runs back to her nestbox hahaha - crazy chook. And she tries to take the hand off you if you check for eggs! At least Whisskers isn’t like that!

Any ideas?

I can't figure out what Phyllis goal is.

Does she want to help with the brood?

Does she want to just sleep in that nest box?

What might be her thought process here?

I don't want to stress Phyllis but I'm afraid she is going to damage an egg or run Glynda off.

Any thoughts?
I would say it looks like she is trying to assert some authority over them, if it were my broodies I would try to keep them separate by cordoning them off. Can you put up some temporary walls to keep them separate? Yet able to see out?

This song just popped into my brain.
"Blinded by the light
Revved up like a deuce, another runner in the night."
See Mozzarella's right leg? She looks like she's ready to run.

Alright - I'm very angry now. What is killing my birds?! Now Breezefeather passed, her whole backside ripped open in the yard?! I need a camera or something! This should not be happening!
:hit:hit:hit:hit:hit:hit:hit:hit
Rest in peace and fly high, Breezefeather.

This is my worry. It's a dominance play of some kind.
