Extremely Late Mugshot Monday
This chicken is the first thing you see when you wake up and she says "Happy 1st day of July. I'll be back when it's the fourth." And she's back at it again. "Happy 2nd day of July." She really likes up close photos.

Its summer!
If there weren't babies mine would be up until 9:30.

It’s funny here, the older ladies and Mr P head to bed around 6pm, the youngsters and Bert roam around until I make them go to bed at 8pm. It’s still light here until almost 10pm so they peck around a bit in the Hen House which has a west and north window so lots of light.

Maybe I need curtains in the hen house hahaha!

13+ Yrs saga cont'd:

(June 2016) After losing our beautiful "Taffy" the Blue Wheaten Ameraucana (my BYC avatar pic) we were left with 3 backyard hens again and 3 is not a good flock number IMO.

Violet, Phaedra, and Mini foraging around backyard remodeling debris.

A sweet but too small a flock.

So we thought how great if we could get another Blue Breda since we loved our Phaedra's temperament so much!
