How do you like your corn 🌽?
I like mine with a little salt and peppa! IMG_4507.jpeg

So which is it? Baytril or Benadryl and what do they do for reproductive issues? Inquiring minds need to know :)
She meant Baytril, it’s a very effective antibiotic for reproductive tract infections. Likely the best out there.

Benadryl is an antihistamine that humans take for allergic reactions. I have not heard of it being used in poultry for anything.

It's a shame we live in zones that limit our planting choices!
Yea, I imagine you wouldn’t be able to have apple trees. They require a frost/freeze time to help set the buds or some such thing.

Babies where out and about till I brought them in at noon when it became too hot for them.

Hello everyone.
Trying to cope with this deadly heat right now, 120 degree highs killed two more of my hens, Sunfeather and Onyx. My fan malfunctioned yesterday sometime in the middle of the day yesterday and is still not working. I have to go outside every few minutes to mist down my chicken coop and water down the dustbathing holes.
Here is a video and some tax.

I want to post more tax but it won't upload. Maybe it will work better later
That heat is just terrible - I am so sorry you lost some to the heat :( :hugs :hugs :hugs

Do you have a bit of extra freezer space? If so, take a 1 liter or 2 liter soda bottle - fill it mostly full and squeeze it a bit, then cap and put in the freezer (squeezing it gives it space for the water to expand as it freezes, so the bottle doesn't split.). Wrap it in an old hand towel or such, place in a paper bag, and partially bury in a shaded spot in the run or coop. The hand towel is to help insulate it a bit and to also help absorb 'sweating' (though, with your dry heat, it may not 'sweat' as there is little moisture in the air to condense on it) and the paper bag is to keep it clean so once melted, you can take it out of the bag (and towel) and refreeze.

If you are able to do a couple of these, you can set a few up in an area - and create a cool space for them.

Sorry to hear about your losses and the terrible heat you are experiencing. I know you are doing all you can for your beloved pets.

I sent a palm tree sapling to Minnesota. To family. The tree lasted about two years and then froze.
It would have to be brought inside here. I had a couple nice ones but my mum let them get frosted when I was out at work one year.

Same with my banana tree, I was most unhappy about that.
