My BIL Runners laid 2 eggs a day ? He said that was normal- ? I know nothing about ducks. Other than they are complete quacks.

That is unusual - not impossible, but highly unusual in domestic ducks. Some wild ducks - that only lay in the spring - can lay 2 eggs in one day - but it is NOT common for duck - just like healthy chickens only lay one egg per day (unless one is 'backed up' and another starts being processed - so once the problem egg is laid, the other egg will be laid shortly thereafter - but only 1 is produced per day by a chicken.)

I was hot, so was Xzit. I filled the tub with cold water and grabbed her, we both got cooled off really quick! Clothes and all!

I do remember the time when my X wife had returned home from work and said she needed a nice soothing bath. She asked me if I could draw her a bath, while she puts her clothes away.
Yes I couldn’t resist it. Pen and paper I drew her a bath .
No wonder I’m single now!

I would get Bielefelders (I asked my Vet how to pronounce that Bee-lay-felder, he is from Germany), they are a duel purpose bird and are beautiful.

How funny. There is a city in Germany called Bielefeld, which many people believe does not exist.

Lucky me? These are ducks! Messy, quacking, little creatures!!!
I can’t raise them. There’s no need for them

Take up baking -- my mom loved duck eggs for baking and cooking. At about 7 months the drakes make good soup or oven roast!

Personally I prefer geese as property watch dogs since ducks tend to wander too much as you now already know.

My friend picked up a gander to raise as a Christmas dinner goose but the day they brought him home he saw the ducks wandering off the property and on his own herded the ducks back. Needless to say, "Christmas" the gander is still alive and turkey was served at dinner instead .

How are they doing this afternoon? Are the momma's still keeping them close to the nest? I would love to see a picture of both Momma's snuggled together with the chicks in front of them. I wish my girls would co-parent but so far none have. Maybe next year if I get some more silkie girls it can happen.

Yes, they are close to the nest. They have not left the coop yet.
